Community penalties are tough punishments and North Wales Probation will take enforcement action against any offender who does not abide by the terms of their order. Compliance with Probation appointments, or any of the requirements orderd by the court is compulsory.
All offenders have 'rights and responsibilities' whilst on an order or licence. Compliance varies depending on what type of order or licence they are on. Further information can be found on the following pdf (86k) downloads:
Failure to comply with any order or licence will result in breach action being taken. This means that they will be returned to court where they can recieve a more severe sentence or recalled to prison.
Offenders can also be breached if they do not behave appropriately during their order or licence, fail to take part in the requirements ordered by the court or do not abide by a curfew, prohibited activity or residency requirement.
YOUR Licence/Order is YOUR responsibility.
You also have rights and if you feel that those rights have not been respected you are able to complain by speaking to your Offender Manager first. If you are still not satisfied, you can make a formal complaint to the Chief Probation Officer. Details on how to do this are detailed in the pdf download leaflet below.
