LCCS is a scheme that sees Magistrates and Probation Staff partnering each other and presenting an interactive offender case study to a wide range of local professional and community groups including Rotary Clubs, Church Groups, Victim and Witness Support and also local college students. the main aims of the project are to:
- Increase public awareness of the effectiveness of community penalties
- To increase public confidence in sentencing and community punishment
- To communicate with the communities we serve
- To develop partnerships and improve understanding between sentencers and probation
There has been 10 presentations to community groups and organisations during 2005-06
